Tension stations (device)
Tension stations are used to ensure the proper belt tension to generate friction force on drive pulley to move the belt with load. We make screw and load tension devices. The stroke of the tension device usually makes 1 … 1,5 % of the conveyor length. Tension devices of conveyors less than 60 m are screw or, sometimes spring-screw. The screw gear drive is carried out manually or by electric drive. At long conveyors load tension devices are used. They are placed at trolleys, connected with the hung through the block load. Additional load drums with the hung load on non-working can also be used. If the conveyor is extra long and has great belt tension spring-applied rope pulley block is used for decreasing of load weight. Load tension devices provide constant drawing power, automatically compensate changes of traction body length, and reduce the impact of dynamic and peak loadings on the belt. Tension devices together with a tension pulleys are installed on the special frames and are called tension stations |
